l’église Saint-Epvre, the Catholic Church in Contrexeville, established ca. 1150. The present structure, of which the bell tower is the oldest remnant, dates from the 16th century.

Orthodox Chapel in the park at Contrexeville, built in 1909 by the Grand Duchess Maria Pavlovna after her conversion to the Orthodox faith. The Protestant Chapel is barely visible on the left and the Red Cross Hut is between the two churches. The Grand Duchess, who died in 1920 in Contrexeville, is entombed here, along with her third son Grand Duke Boris. (image from the unit history of Base Hospital 32)
