When we arrived, the farm workers had been busy tilling the field, making it ready for planting. The fields in this part of Ireland are not tilled often (only every several years.)

At Kinvara Bay, looking toward Castle Dunguaire in the distance. The castle dates from the 16th Century and is named for Guaire Aidne mac Colmáin, a legendary king of Connaught who died in the 7th Century.
Reliving an old joke from a previous trip, where Steve dubbed this area "Argument Bay" after he abruptly pulled over for some tension relief, claiming that the scene was picturesque and he wanted to stop.

The Pier Head restaurant at Kinvara treated us like special guests. Their meals were excellent, and their wi-fi signal was good, too.
Martha ordered a dish of crab claws at the Pier Head, and they were scrumptious!

Upon our departure from Clareview House, we had to figure out how to get the luggage, the wheelchair (and its box) in the car with us. The chair was rented from the Ireland Wheelchair Association, and we'll leave it at our Dublin hotel when we depart for a courier to pick up -- but the courier accepts only boxed chairs.
John, Brenda, Micheal, and Lynn -- new friends at Clareview House B&B, join us in wishing Roberta a happy 93rd birthday. Photo by Martha Clark.
Mother thoroughly enjoyed the spontaneous birthday party at Clareview House B&B
Sara wrangles the luggage, and we're grateful for the sizable area in the VW Caddy Maxi.
Much to our relief, everything fits, and there is still room for the driver and four passengers.
