Agnes Swift, ~1910. Agnes traveled to Europe in 1911 with Dr. and Mrs. Sala and Miss Margrath (another nurse) from Washington, IA. They departed in mid-June and returned in September, visiting hospitals and other medical facilities in several major European cities.
Agnes Swift, John C. Swift. 1906. Agnes served overseas in WW I as an Arrmy nurse at the Base Hospital 32 in Contrexeville, France. She left the U.S. in Dec. 1917 and returned home in March 1919. Sadly, her father, John C. Swift, had died in her absence.

Martina Swift Bailey, 1945. Martina preserved many family stories and details of her Irish roots in her memoirs, written while she was in her 80's. She lived to the age of 102.
Sr. M. Joan (Sally) Bailey, 1949. Sister Joan Bailey collected a vast archive of family history information, photos and documents. She assisted her mother, Martina Swift Bailey, in publishing her memoirs.
